

Abhinav Sekhri is a practising Advocate based in New Delhi with a specialised focus on criminal litigation. He holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2018), where he was an Inlaks and Narotam Sekhsaria Scholar, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru (2014).
Abhinav has extensive experience in both trial and appellate forums across India. His practice primarily encompasses white-collar crime and associated advisory work, with engagements spanning statutes such as the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, Income Tax Act, and the Information Technology Act, among others. He regularly appears before criminal courts in Delhi and has been empanelled with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Clinic.
He has previously worked with leading criminal law chambers, including that of Mr. Siddharth Aggarwal, Senior Advocate, where he was involved in high-profile cases such as the 2G Scam appeals, the Coal Scam trials, and the INX Media prosecution. Earlier, at the chambers of Mr. Shri Singh, Advocate, he assisted in notable prosecutions including those under the Information Technology Act, such as the eBay/Baazee case.
Abhinav also contributes actively to policy and academic spaces. He is Of-Counsel to the Internet Freedom Foundation, consults on legal policy research, and serves as Editor of the widely-read Proof of Guilt blog. He has taught as a Visiting Professor at both NLSIU, Bengaluru and NLU Delhi, and currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Modern Criminal Law Review.
