Gauri is a practising Advocate in Delhi. Hailing from a family of lawyers, she has pursued her LLM from Georgetown University, USA, specialising in International Legal Studies. She practices in a range of forums in Delhi, such as the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, NCLT, Consumer forums, to name a few. Additionally, she is also representing the Union of India before the Delhi High Court as a Senior Panel Counsel and specialises in writ jurisdiction. She has worked on matters pertaining to public policy, reproductive rights,public safety and integrity, amongst others. She has also worked on matters of education, representing the University Grants Commission and defending its interest before the Delhi High Court. Further, she has represented other statutory bodies such as the Press Council of India before the said forum.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Delhi University which has played a crucial role in her practice at Family law and her understanding of Criminal Laws. Furthermore , she has published articles on topics such as Dowry Death,and has even co- authoured Trials of Truth _ which discusses major criminal cases of the country spreading over a wide span of time.
