Sougat Mishra, B.A. (Hons.) Economics and B.A (Hons.) LLB: Graduated from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, New Delhi in 2011 and pursued Economics as his undergraduate degree course between 2011-2014 from Delhi University. After having graduated with honours and distinction, he enrolled as a law student at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University between 2014-2017.
Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 2017. He has worked as a defence counsel in high-stake economic offence prosecutions involving CBI and ED cases. He has prosecuted and defended civil, commercial and company briefs before the Supreme Court, High Court and tribunals. He is adept at handling a wide spectrum of disputes touching upon civil/commercial ranging across Insolvency and Bankruptcy Act, Companies Act, Consumer Protection Act, SARFAESI Act, Electricity Act, etc. as well as arbitration, writs civil and criminal appellate briefs across all forums.
He posses experience involving civil disputes that are presently being litigated within India as well as foreign jurisdictions such as the United States of America and Singapore.
He is an empanelled counsel for the Union of India and regularly appears on behalf of the Government of India before the Supreme Court and various High Courts.
